Pastors

Pastor is the leader of local congregation and responsible of the spiritual ministry. Pastoral ministry consists of leading worship services, church sacraments and different ministries and administrative work. Since September 2004 Võru congregation has two pastors:

Kaupo Kant

... has been a pastor of Võru UMC since the beginning in 1994.

Kaupo has studied in Santala Bible School in 1992-93, In 1993-95 in Tartu Theological Academy. In 1998 has graduated Estonian Methodist Theological Seminary, Ordined as an elder in 1999.a. In 2000-2003 has studied in Asbury Theological Seminary, in Wilmore KY, USA earned MDIV and ThM in Missiology. Kaupo is married with Thea Kant and has three sons.

His responsibilities are administrative work, teaching of the church, equipping ministry, missional work, as well counselling and conducting worship services and sharing the sacraments.

Ele Paju

... has grown up in Võru UMC as an active member.

In 2002 she graduated Baltic Methodist Theological Seminary in Tallinn. In 2001 she worked as a local pastor in Viitka UMC. She is a full  member (elder)of the Estonian Annual conference . Since 2002 she is a pastor in Võru UMC. Ele is married with Tanel Paju and has two  sons.

Her responsibilities are children- and youth ministry, counselling, worship and conducting worship services.
